Deadlines to withdraw: Important dates for withdrawing from a program
Last Updated: Mar 22, 2024 Views: 1432

If you are considering taking a break from your studies and/or withdrawing from your program, there are important dates to be aware of.

  • Last day to withdraw with refund: You must withdraw from your program on or before this date in order to receive a refund of your tuition/not be charged tuition for this semester. This date can vary depending on the term and the program delivery, but it is typically the tenth business day of the term. Please refer to the academic calendar or your timetable in ACSIS for exact dates.

Note: If you are withdrawing from your first semester of the academic year (Fall to Spring) you will have been charged a $500 tuition deposit. The deposit will not be refunded, but you can use it towards a single course or a new program within the same academic year. For information, please refer to the following FAQ answer: $500 Deposit: Can I use my $500 deposit for another program?
  • Last day to withdraw without academic penalty (date may vary): This is the last day to withdraw without academic penalty in most post-secondary programs (actual date reflected, by course, on your timetable.) If you withdraw after this date, you will receive an ‘F’ on your transcript. Please refer to the academic calendar for the approximate date and see your timetable in ACSIS for exact dates.
