In certain circumstances, you can change your timetable in ACSIS. Find out when you can change your timetable yourself.
If your program has enabled the Add/Drop function in ACSIS, you may follow the steps below to make changes to your timetable. You can also read the full Changing Your Timetable How-to Guide for more information. Watch the video or follow the instructions below to find out how to do the following:
Transfer course sections (change to a different course time)
To transfer into a different course section:
- Log into ACSIS.
- Select Add/Drop/Transfer under the Courses section from the menu on the left-hand side.
- Read the Refund Policy, click the “I have read the refund policy below” button and click Continue.
- Click Section Transfer.
- You will see a list of your courses that have available alternative sections. Select a course to view the section options and click Display Timetable beside each of the section options to see the day/time it is offered.
- Click the check box for the section you choose and then click Transfer.
Note: If you don’t see any course section options or see an error message indicating that there are no available sections to transfer into, you can contact your Program Coordinator, Academic Advisor, or Student Success Specialist for assistance in changing your timetable. Be aware that there are instances where timetable changes are not possible due to section sizes or availability.
Drop a course
To drop a course and remove it from your timetable:
- Log into ACSIS.
- Select Add/Drop/Transfer under the Courses section from the menu on the left-hand side.
- Read the Refund Policy and click the “I have read the refund policy below” button and click Continue.
- Click Drop.
- You will see a list of courses that you can drop without special permission from your program. Select a course you wish to remove from your schedule and then click Drop.
Note: If you don’t see any course section options or see an error message indicating that there are no available sections to drop, you can contact your Program Coordinator, Academic Advisor, or Student Success Specialist for assistance in changing your timetable. Be aware that there are instances where timetable changes are not possible.
Add a course (e.g. general education electives)
To add a course to your timetable:
- Log into ACSIS.
- Select Add/Drop/Transfer under the Courses section from the menu on the left-hand side.
- Read the Refund Policy and click the “I have read the refund policy below” button and click Continue.
- Click Add.
- You will see a list of courses that you can add without special permission from your program. Select a course/section that you wish to add to your schedule and then click Add.
Note: If you don’t see any course section options or see an error message indicating that there are no available sections to add, you can contact your Program Coordinator, Academic Advisor, or Student Success Specialist for assistance in changing your timetable. Be aware that there are instances where timetable changes are not possible due to section sizes or availability.
