If you are having trouble in many of your classes, here are some strategies that can help:
- Talk to your Academic Advisor/Program Coordinator. They can help you figure out what your next steps can be and connect you with other Algonquin College services that can help you.
- Meet with your Student Success Specialist. They can help connect you with resources and support to help improve your academic performance. If you are experiencing challenges that impact your ability to focus on your studies, they can inform you about any supports available to you.
- Participate in an essential skills workshop. Workshops can help with study skills, test preparation, writing, research, citing sources, and more.
- If you need accommodations due to a disability, visit the Centre for Accessible Learning.
- Access Counselling Services. Counselling Services provides Mental Health Counselling to help you address other issues that may be impacting your ability to focus on your studies. For students at campuses other than Ottawa, see the Perth Campus Counselling or the Pembroke Campus Counselling.
