Whether you are choosing a program or are a current student, it is useful to have a sense of what your career options are when you complete your education. Below are a few strategies that can help you with your career planning and job search:
- Talk to your Academic Advisor/Program Coordinator. They can help you develop a career plan and answer your questions about a career in your field of study.
- Check the program website for a list of the types of jobs where graduates of the program might find employment. Find your program in the list of programs.
- Visit the Co-op & Career Centre. They can provide guidance to help you understand your career opportunities.
- Explore the Career & Program Choice module in the Essential Study Skills guide. This module can help you explore career options and plan your program and career path.
- Look at information about the industry. The Exploring the Labour Market page of the Career & Program Choice module can help you find and understand Labour Market Information. You can see if an industry is growing or in decline, and discover what industries would suit your needs and skills.
- Review the AC Pathways website to see a list of programs that accept our graduates into their degrees and continue to build on your education.
